Concert 1: In Praise of the Feminine
A potent demonstration of the power of female musical creativity.
A classical chamber concert of songs and instrumentals mainly by women composers. Featuring little-known women composers from overseas and Australia, and two well-known Australian composers. Performed by musicians of international renown. Artistic Direction: Chris Latham.

A couple of couples, two pairs of superb entertainers, two different “different” acts, an evening of fun, wicked fun and pop-folk-love.
Shortis and Simpson
John Shortis and Moya Simpson are renowned for having fun with flair, and some of their lampooning might land close to home.
Microwave Jenny
The up-and-coming, talented Tessa and Brendon Boney perform their own songs in a style they call Pop/Folk/Love.

Everyone welcome! Have lunch and listen to a foot-tapping folk frenzy from Braidwood and afield. To participate, BYO voice and/or instrument and put your name on the blackboard.

Seaside Ukelele Orchestra
Music Music and An Act of Activism
The Festival’s musicians gather for celebratory performances. Featuring Ecopella, Merrilyn Simmons, Warren Foster, Johnny Huckle, Paul Spencer, Seaside Ukulele Orchestra.
The Seaside Ukulele Orchestra will perform sing-a-long Protest Songs from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
As well as doing their own thing, each group or person has been invited to present some alternative words for a national anthem.

Enriching Art and Talk
Ecopella will perform at the Activism in the Digital Age forum, 11am Saturday, and in the Music Music session, 11.30am Sunday. Both at the National Theatre.
Johnny Huckle will perform at the opening of the Indigenous Art Show. Altenburg & Co., Friday 5.30 – 6.30.
Ceremony and Celebration
The opening and closing ceremonies will feature Warren Foster on didge and Johnny Huckle singing.

Playing the main street or the park, or just roving around mixing festival into town and town into festival.
Seaside Ukulele Orchestra. Enthusiasts from Batemans Bay, Moruya and region. Part of a world wide phenomenon, helping each other and rediscovering the world of sing-along music.
Paul Spencer. Paul writes quirky comic political folk songs to entertain the activist in you or re-energise the jaded cynic, using some folk tunes and some original tunes.
